One account, both apps. Set up your tow vehicle in Ready2Roam or Ready2Tow and it appears in both, so you never re-enter specs. Sign in with the same account to see vehicles you've already added.

Staying in sync: Your rigs and assessments are stored on your device and back up to the cloud when you're online. A sync indicator appears in the top bar while syncing, or if a sync did not finish -- when everything is up to date it stays hidden. Everything keeps working offline and syncs when you are back online.

Tolerance profiles: Choose a Cautious, Standard, or Relaxed tolerance profile in settings. This only changes the advisory “Attention” band -- how early the app warns you as you approach a weight limit. It never moves the actual limit, and it has no effect on tyre-pressure or tow-ball checks.

Ready2Tow works in five optimised regions: Australia/New Zealand (ATM, GTM, GVM, GCM, tow ball mass), United Kingdom (MTPLM, MAM, noseweight), France (PTAC, PTRA, charge sur fleche), Germany/Austria/Switzerland (zGG, zGG Zug, Stuetzlast), and United States/Canada (GVWR, GCWR, tongue weight). Units, terminology, and regulatory thresholds adapt automatically.
Weight ratings are on your vehicle and towable compliance plate (also called VIN plates or data plates). Tow vehicles: driver door jamb or engine bay. Caravans/trailers: drawbar or A-frame. Motorhomes: driver door jamb. You can use the camera to scan these plates or enter values manually.
Pass (green) means all weights are within limits. Attention (amber) means one or more weights are approaching their limits, typically above 94%. Fail (red) means one or more weights exceed their rated limits -- do not tow in this configuration. Free tier users see pass/fail status. Tow Pro users see the full numeric breakdown.
From the rig screen, tap “Set up all tyres.” The app asks whether every wheel runs the same tyre. If yes, you capture or enter one tyre and it applies to every position -- one flow instead of one per wheel. If they differ, a guided sequence walks you through each wheel in turn, showing which one you are on. You can scan the sidewall with the camera or type the tyre size and let the app fill the rest from its tyre database. Manufacture dates (DOT) are added per tyre afterwards, since each tyre has its own date.
Yes. Aftermarket tyres are common in the towing and 4WD community, and Ready2Tow handles them as a first-class case. If you enter your vehicle's original tyre size, the app compares it to what is fitted and flags a mismatch. Because the door-placard pressure is set for the original tyre, the app asks for the cold target pressure your tyre fitter recommends for the new rubber. Enter that and pressure guidance stays accurate. If you leave it blank, the app shows the minimum safe pressure for your measured load rather than a placard figure that no longer applies.
Tyre sidewall text is embossed -- raised black rubber on black rubber -- which is genuinely hard to photograph. When online, the app uses cloud recognition, which reads embossed text far better than a phone's built-in scanner. If a read still comes back weak, choose “Add another angle” and take a second or third shot; the app combines the clearest reading of each field across the shots. You can always tap “Enter tyre size” and type the size instead -- the app fills load index, speed rating, and pressures from its tyre database.
When a scan is not read with enough confidence, the value is flagged in amber so you can check it before it is used in any safety calculation. Confirm it if it is right, or enter the value manually. This applies to placard, tyre, and weighbridge scans alike.
Legal minimum tread depth varies by region: Australia/New Zealand is 1.5 mm, United Kingdom is 1.6 mm, Europe (FR, DE, AT, CH) is 1.6 mm per EU Directive 89/459/EEC, and the United States/Canada is 1.6 mm (2/32 inch). Ready2Tow warns you when tread is approaching or below the legal minimum for your region.
Yes. All rig data, assessments, and tyre profiles are stored locally on your device using an encrypted database. The app works fully offline. Tow Pro subscribers can optionally enable cloud sync to back up data and access it across devices.
Every Professional report is frozen the moment it is generated and stamped with a unique reference and a SHA-256 integrity hash. The PDF carries a QR code linking to a public verification page that shows the reference and hash, so anyone -- an inspector, an insurer, a buyer -- can confirm the report is genuine and has not been altered. Reports can also carry inspector and client signatures, the calibration details of the weighbridge used, and the standards the assessment was made against.
Sharing a report creates a link others can open. Revoke a shared report to unpublish that link -- no one can open it any more, but the report stays in your history and you can share it again later. Delete permanently removes the report entirely and cannot be undone; you will be asked to type a confirmation word first. Deleting works even if the report was never shared or was already revoked.
